Vault get together

The Vault
No more than a hideaway amidst the gothic grandeur of the StarHall, this cozy lounge is a place of laughter if not greatness, warmth if not splendour. The close stone walls are insulated with tapestries of all shapes and sizes, most a little worn, several faded and a good many depicting scenes from childhood stories. The mismatched chairs and sofas are in a similar state, rescued from cellars and rubbish-heaps but perhaps more softer and more comfortable for that, scattered in a rouch circle on a hardwood floor. A low round table in the centre of the room holds cards, discarded hides, mugs, and a pot that holds klah as long as someone remembers to fill it. The one window at the back wall lets light and air into the warm, cozy room.
Scattered troughout the rooms are numerous glowbaskets. Thin hides, that would be transparant if they weren't coloured in light shades of red green and blue cast a colourfull and happy athmostphere troughout the room. Small bells and sticks, hung near the window, create soft, eerie yet comfortablly soft sounds,
On the perch are Pingouin, Teremi, Kataxia, Tas, Zaflin, Scorpy, Rygel, Cami, Lil'Topaz, and Espero.
You see Sweet Root plant, Kaelli, Tomato plant, Book of Constellations, and Jenavia here.

Adoran
Cute doesn't even begin to describe the shaggy little canine. Fur everywhere -- the white flopping over his eyes, around chest and paws, and the tawny brown patches that fall elsewhere. All one can see of his untrimmed face is a portion of black nose and a blocky muzzle, both framed by long sienna fur. Even with his fur flopping everywhere, he can only be classified as adorable, looking as much as he does like a sturdy, bouncy extrovert underneath it. His legs are hard to discern under the sheet of fur that drapes from chest and sides, while a tail sticks upward over his back with just as much brown fur falling from that.

Shanel
She is a slender girl of average height. Shoulder length light brown hair is held back by a single black ribbon in a vain attempt to keep it away from her eyes. Under the bright sunlight golden highlights can be seen, just as green flecks appear in her wide light blue eye. Set above an average mouth often seen with a smile is a pert nose on face still roundish with left over baby fat. She has cream colored, almost pale skin darkened by the hot Istan sun.
A long tunic of a deep purple hugs her upper body. Cream-colored trousers of a comfortable semi-shaping fit cover her legs. More often then not, this girl will not be seen with any foot coverings. On those few occasions when footwear is required she can seen wearing wherry-hide sandals.
Shanel wears the knot of a StarCraft Senior Apprentice.

Neliar is sitting at the far end of the room, hide in hand, looking like a good little student. He does not even look up when some enters the room.

Shanel waters Tomato plant
Shanel waters Sweet Root plant
Shanel wanders around the room straightening the books on the table, water the plantes, and generally avoiding leaving the room. Seeing Neliar she perches upon the arm of his chair, "Whatcha readin'?"

A soft rustle is heard as Neliar turns the page. With a sigh he puts the hide down. They's no use pretending he /hates/ studying. Rubbing his eyes he finally looks up to see who entered the room. "Hi Nel." he says rather sheepishly remembering their last meeting. "Oh, just a book on comets." waving a dismissive arm.

Shanel's lips tug up into a soft smile. "Comets, huh." Not really a question, just something to say. She leans over and picks up the book, letting it fall open to a random page. Scimming the page, Nel turns on the arm of the chair, carefull not fall and looks directly at Neliar, "Which direction do their tails point?"

Neliar grins at Nel, just like her to try and catch him out! "Erm to the right I think?" He really has not got a clue, he just likes people to think he's doing something.

Shanel laughs shaking her head. "Try this, which direction do comets travel?" If she has to teach this soon she may as well review and help a friend. Shanel curls a leg up onto the cushon to help her balance.

Neliar makes himself more comfortable but folding his legs beneath him. Well he might as well make the most of it if someone is willing to teach him. "Er i think they travel to the left...." he really is hopeless!

Shanel stands, chuckling. She walks around the chair until she is standing facing Neliar. Untying her ribbon, letting her hair fall free, she holds up the ribbon for Neli to see, "Pretend this is a comet and you're the sun."

Neliar follows Nel's movements with his eyes, his attention fully focused on the ribbon. "okay, now what?" This almost makes learning run rather than been stuck in lectures.

Shanel launches the ribbon into the air. The ribbon flitters out towards Neliar, floating slowly into his lap. "Comets fly to and around the sun, like the ribbon. Comet tails always point away from the sun, like the ribbon pointed toward you." She explains.

Neliar tries gamely to suppress a giggle at Nel. He just can't help it, he can't be serious for more than a minute. Even as he is giggling though he is taking in what Nel is teaching him. "That makes sense cause the tail is melted bits of the comet, so it'd have to be behind..." he thinks he's on the right track.

Iyanden walks moves elegantly in from the Male Apprentice Quarters.

Iyanden
At 5'10 he isn't small but not that tall either. Iyanden has wide shoulders though and is fairly muscular. His blodn hair is short and has a brown tint to the roots, whilst his body-hair of arms and legs is thickish and a white blond. Hiseyes are a deep green and usually stare out of his emotional face. Iyaden's jawline is strong and his face thin, he is handsome but more dashing than shining beauty. His long legs are flexible whilst his stomach is flat and trim. He usually has a smile on his face but can sometimes be a little sullen.
Iyanden wears a white linen shirt and a pair of cream linen trousers. The shirt sleeve run to just above the elbow and his pants are held by a belt. He wears boots on his feet.

Iyanden wanders out the dorms, running his hand through his hair and brushing it down. "Mornin'."

A bright smile appears upon Nel's face. "Exactly." She bounces slightly moving back to Neli's chair and the book. Perching upon the arm of the chair again she picks up the book and flipping to another page. Looking up briefly at the new comer, she smiles in greeting. "Hello."

Iyanden smiles at them both and tiredly scrunches his eyes with his knuckles to clear his vision. "Ohhh so what jobs should I be doing on my first day as a starcrafter. Iam Iyanden by the way."

Diena walks delicately in in from the Female Apprentice Quarters.

Diena
Diena is a tall woman of six feet. She appears to be very firm and well toned. Her skin, however is a creamy white, with the exception of her ruby cheeks and dark red lips. Her deep, raven hair is chopped short, not quite curling around her ears and her grey-green eyes seem to shine out from her pale visage.
Wrapping itself gently around her tall, slim frame, this simple dress of fine, navy blue wool sports a fuzzy, miniature cable knit texture. Its square neckline gives a glimpse of skin, while the dress' bodice hangs loosely, with a straight waist. Long sleeves caress her arms, finished at the ends with a more pronounced stitch to hold the wrists snug. The dress' long, flowing A-line skirt sweeps gracefully across her hips and down her legs, ending at the middle of her ankles. Patch pockets, carefully aligned with the direction of the cables, are sewn on the front, large enough to carry the essentials of the apprentice. As a finishing touch, the neckline, cuffs, top of the pockets and hem of the skirt are trimmed with grey piping, giving the outfit a crisp, clean feel. Dark brown shoes, plain but nicely tailored and neat-looking, complete the ensemble.
Diena wears the now of a Starcraft Senior Apprentice.

Neliar smiles up at Iyanden. "I'm Neliar." he says with the cheeriness of someone who has been up for awhile.

"Chores." Said with a completely straight face, Shanel tries not to crack a smile. "Lots of chores."

Iyanden smiles and streatches with a yawn. "Well fair enough but please let a fellow wake up first!"

Caelum wanders in from the Male Apprentice Quarters.

Caelum
Impish features sketch themselves unrepentantly in an incomplete setting, a visage that has lost all baby fat left to a pointed chin and too pert nose. Ebony eyelashes frame over-large hazel eyes, dark hue pitched more towards lush forest than a velvety fawn. Unruly spikes of copper hair, untamed and untreated, skew chaotically, color complemented by a bronzed complexion and made a whole by blushed lips. Matched by a lanky frame with the unfulfilled promise of a slender musculature, the over all impression is one of a youth waiting to grow into himself.
Shadow's touch coalesces as crisp black linen, dark color unflattering and stark. An undertunic of fine cotton weave clings to a slender torso, tucked securely into dark leathers. Faded by use and abuse, the once black of the smooth leather has paled to deep charcoal.

Shanel laughs, "Then hide from the Jman." Seated upon the arm of Neliar's chairs with the book on comets in her hands, Nel smiles lightly, "I'm Shanel, by the way."

Diena yawns "Good morning, everyone.. looks like some of us overslept" she says with a joking smirk "So what classes are there today?" she asks the sleepy apprentices as she lowers herself into a chair.

Dart blinks in from ::between::!

Dragging his feet as he emerges from the dorms, Caelum gives every appearance of being a member of the walking dead: blank eyes, pale skin, and hair that defies the laws of physics. He stumbles backwards into a chair and proceeds to curl up with his eyes closed, snorting in Diena's direction with a smile curving his lips. "Overslept? Tch, you're crazy."

Diena calls to Dart, who flies over and lands on her shoulder.

Neliar grins up at the other newcomer, "Morning Diena, I'm Neliar." Did everyone sleep in this morning, he's beginning to wonder about that. "Morning Caelum." he calls noticing another person creeping in.

Iyanden smiles at Shanel. "Well nice to meet you Shanel, any Ideas how long I have to be probabtionary?" Iyanden doesn't like probabtionary, sounds like they may throw him out at any moment. He nods to Neliar too. "Hi."

Lifting his head long enough to flash Neliar a cheerful grin, Caelum tosses out a bright, "Morning yourself, Neliar," then drops his head back to his arms and goes back to pretending to sleep. One hazel eye slits open after a moment and he wiggles his finger in Iyanden's direction, a lazy wave. "You'll be one forever and ever and ever."

"Ribbon." Shanel says shorting pointing at Neliar's lap where it had landed. "Mornin' Diena, Caelum." Glancing between Iyanden and Caelum she smirks, "So will you Cael. I got up early 'cause I'm supposed to meet Carise after breakfast, Diena."

Diena raises an eyebrow Neliar's way, wondering how well known she apparently is here "Well met, Neliar" she says with a pleasant smile "So many new people here since last I looked. I must say, it's rather refreshing." She adds as a little brown firelizard blinks in from between and flies over to perch on her shoulder "Isn't it quite a treat, Dart?" she asks him, as she scritches his back.

Neliar remembers back to his time as a probby. Come to think about it it was only a couple of sevendays ago! "Just ignore Caelum, he's always grumpy in the morning." throwing the young lad a grin. He obediently hands Nel her ribbon back he knows better than to tease her now, he has sore ribs to prove it!

Caelum snorts into the crook of his elbow, rolling his eyes at Shanel over his arm, fidgetting his way into a sitting position, upper body draped over the arm of the chair. "I will not be one forever," he retorts, blithely ignoring the fact he attends classes only under death threat. Neliar gets a half smirk: "What do you mean 'in the morning'?" He can poke fun at himself, after all.

Iyanden moves over and sits down his new scrolls being quickly rearranged. He is overwhelmed by all the people, he just hopes the more people the more likely he is to get lessons, he loves lessons. His eyes finally unglaze and he appears to wake up at last. He looks about again, disappointed not to see the girl he meet when he first arrived, now she was cute.

Shanel isn't that bad, and he started it. Tossing the book over the land on the table she pulls her hair back and reties the ribbon. "If you ever get to class, I'll probably be teaching it." Shifting down from the arm of the chair, Shanel slides to sit more comfortably on the couch next to it.

Diena smiles "Id eventually like to teach classes soon. Maybe after I get back from High Reaches" she says "I would love to see more people interested in optics. It just doesn't seem to be a popular subject around here."

Neliar grins over at Caelum, having to agree with the lad. "I've not been to bed yet." he admits with a wry grin. He'll be falling asleep in classes again! "have you had many classes yet?" he asks of Iyanden. He positions himself better so that he can see everyone in the room. "hey i need the nightskies class, if you're offering Nel. Optics sounds a bit complected to me" He finds the basic classes hard enough.

"If you ever get to teaching a class, I'll run for the hills," Caelum retorts with a smirk, settling back into his chair like a king in his throne - a king whose feet can't reach the floor, that is. He cocks his head in Diena's direction. "Optics? Always seemed to complicated." And it seems to require patience, which judging by his constant fidgetting, he doesn't have.

Iyanden looks up and shakes his head as he looks down again at his scroll of constelations. "None yet but iam hoping to get as many as I can, I love to learn new stuff everyday, its kinda boring if you don't." Iyanden doesn't look up again, he still tries to listen to the conversation.

Diena smirks "Oh, optics isn't that bad. It just takes a little bit more thought and study" she says "Some find it boring, but it's actually quite exciting. Linora and I are going to High Reaches to install a new distanceviewer. I wonder if someday Starcrafters will be travelling Pern to install them."

Shanel sticks her tounge out at Caelum, he can be such a brat. "I can't teach anything with out a Journeyman there. That's why I'm supposed to meet with Carise, I think." Shrugging at the thought, she'll find her later, Reese probably wasn't even awake yet. "When are you and Lin leaving?"

Diena shakes her head "Im actually not quite sure. We were to have left awhile ago but something came up" she frowns "I think we are also waiting to hear from Smith Hall about a journeyman. No since hanging out there if there's nobody to meet us."

Neliar grins at Diena. "Linora has mentioned yous were going together, I thought yous would have left by now." Linora seemed quite excited about it. Personally he finds optics quite dull but each to his or her own. He hopes Nel will be able to teach one of his classes, she's good at explaining things in her own, fun way.

"Eh," Caelum says in Iyanden's direction, the one syllable just dripping with amused sarcasm. "I love learning new stuff too, but classes can be wretchedly dull. Some of those Master's would't know fun if it ran up and bit 'em in the ankle." His gaze slides over to Diena as he wiggles right out of the chair, taking a seat cross-legged on the floor. "Hold or Weyr? Just you and Linora? Sounds fun, I guess, if you like that stuff."

Iyanden chuckles for a second, biting a fingernail before looking up at everyone. "Hey has anyone seen Laurel this morning?" Iyanden had forgotten about here but now wants to talk to her again. "Is she ever about at this time?" His eyes change from one face to another looking for an answer.

"You'd be the one short enough, Cael." Shanel snickers. Glancing over to Iyanden, she smirks slightly, "Laurel hasn't been in yet." Nope Nel hasn't seen her since that day by the pond.

Diena smiles "Well, not just us by ourselves. We will have a journeyman with us. After all, we're just apprentices" she grins "It is quite exciting though. But anyways, tell, tell me, if Optics is quite dull, then what is exciting to you fellows here?"

Neliar blushes slightly red at the mention of Laurel, he can't help it! she does strange things to him. He's rather worried by Iyan's interest in her. Grins "I really like planets and constellations." like he said before each to their own.

Shanel grins at Diena, "Comets at the moment." She waves a hand at the table and the book upon it. Pulling her hair over one shoulder Shanel begins to braid and unbraid it idly.

"You aren't all that tall either, Shanel," Caelum shoots back, before sliding his smirk towards Iyanden. "Lau-u-urel? Is she a friend of yours?" All conversations about class abandoned by this young one in favor of teasing, his eyes catching Neliar's blush as well with a widening smirk. He's horrid.

Iyanden nods and looks about. "Well yea, we had a stroll to the pond and a play in the water, if you can call dousing each other with water play." Iyanden innocently looks back to his scroll, he isn't going to say anything else about it, he likes her alot and he ain't ashamed of that.

Neliar throws Caelum an evil glare, just wait it says, I'll get you back. He glances over at Iyan hoping Laurel does not like him as much as he seems to like her.

Shanel looks over at Iyanden, eyes widening, this could be trouble. "You can't have relationships untill you're an appy." She warns glancing over at Neliar as well. No fights in here.

Caelum's less-than-innocent smirk seems fixed on the other two boys at once. "A play in the water, mmm? Did she seem to enjoy herself then?" That's asked in a wheedling tone for Neliar's 'benefit', adding in a cheery, "You know, some girls can't -stand- getting dosed with water," to keep Iyanden on his toes too.

Diena smiles as the apprentices tease each other "Comets isn't too bad. Isn't that Carise's specialty?" she asks "She's my mentor.. a nice lady too."

Neliar smiles at Diena, "Carise is my mentor to." unfortunately for her. He glares over at Caelum again, plotting things to do to him! Looking over at Nel "I know relationships aren't allowed but no one said anything about /friendships/ after all that's he and Laurel are. Anyway he quite likes Nel as well.

Shanel nods at Diena, "She's my mentor to. Nice, but kinda hard to find." Course that might have something to with the fact that Shanel hasn't gone to look for her yet. Nel sits back and watches the boys banter. A smirk on her face, lots of new gossip fodder here.

Iyanden nods again and looks about, still not seeing the evil glance from Neliar. "Oh she enjoyed it, she started it." Iyanden smirks, not really trying to show off however it sounds. "And I kept saying how gorgous she was, and I told her my ma used to call me angel as a sort of short name, and she said that it fitted me well." Iyanden smiles. "She is something special."

Diena smirks "I suppose I should be glad that none finds me attractice" she says, brushing her short black hair from her brow "I've not had to worry about the relationships rule for quite some time, and then it was never terribly tempting. But a little crush won't get you chased from Starcraft hall" she says with a chuckle.

"Oh, 'friendships', eh?" Caelum echoes Neliar's chosen word with a broad smirk that proves his apparent age is quite a lie in some areas. Iyanden's words send the younger boy rolling over stifling a giggle with little success: "Angel? I'll make sure and tell her say she's something special," he adds with a sweet smile. "What do you say, Neliar? Don't you think he's an angel?" Brat, pest - it all fits when Cael's in this mood.

Shanel laughs as Iyanden tells about his 'playtime'. Nodding to Diena, "I probably wouldn't even know someone had a crush on me. And just don't get caught or do anything incredibly stupid." This last goes for all three of the boys, if anyone hurts her friends...

Neliar tries to show he's not bothered about what Laurel gets up to after all he's got no claim on her. He succeeds somewhat as well, at least he thinks her does. He gives Diena the once over, finding her quite attractive if not a bit old for him. Shoots Caelum another evil look, he's really going to strangle the little brat if he's not careful. his previous poise gone. "It doesn;t matter what I think." said through gritted teeth.

Iyanden looks back and smiles to Neliar, still oblivious. "I think she is cute, but I wouldn't do anything silly to her, I wouldn't risk it." Iyanden looks back at his scroll of constellations, and brushes some blond hair from his brow.

Caelum's angelic - can't you tell by the saccharine smile on his lips? "But it does matter what you think - after all, you're friends with her too and you've known her for longer, so of course you have her welfare at heart, right?" Right! Way to think things out, Cael. "And don't worry, if you don't want to take the risk, others will take it for you," he adds with a nod for Iyanden. Beam. Shoot 'im.

Linora walks softly in from the Female Apprentice Quarters.

Linora
Honey-blond tresses, sunstreaked with platinum highlights, fall just to her shoulders, curling slightly at the ends now that the weight of their previous mass has been reduced. A few wispy pieces refuse to be tamed, often falling into her face to be brushed impatiently behind her ears. She's more or less stopped growing, a mere fingerwidth above 5' tall, and though she'll probably never be overly curvy, she's lost the childlike look she once had. Her features are regular if not actually striking, except for her eyes: palest blue, nearly white, they shine in stark contrast to the smooth, even tan that seems never to leave her skin no matter what time of Turn it happens to be.
A lightweight cotton shirt, crisp and cool, is tucked neatly into a pair of tan trousers - sleeveless, with a softly scooping neckline, dyed a soft, robin's-egg blue. The trousers, amazingly, actually seem to have been made to fit her, tailored flatteringly to waist and hips, following the lines of her legs and hemmed neatly just below her knees. On her feet she wears a pair of knotted wherhide sandals. Spray is curled lazily on Linora's shoulder, tail wrapped around her neck, apparently dozing as usual.
Red and silver intertwine in a single loop at her shoulder, the small red tail denoting her status as StarCraft Senior Apprentice.

Shanel sits back and watches the boys with interest. One's to young, one's cute, and one's in for trouble. She can't but snicker at some of the comments coming around either.

Neliar sighs and makes a great pretence of stroking his dogs ears trying to ignore the little imp sitting on the floor. "She's old enough to know how to look after herself." he retorts, trying not to rise to the bait. "Hi Lin." he greets trying to change the subject.

Iyanden shrugs and looks up at Shanel, wondering which she thinks is cute and which is annoying. "Well fair enough, but I wouldn't bother her unless she liked me, and only she can tell me that."

Linora slips out of the dorm quietly. "Hey, everyone," she greets quietly, looking around the familiar Vault with a dismayed expression. With a sigh, she slips out to the balcony, returning a short time later hauling a large bucket of soapy water. She lowers it to the floor carefully, but it /does/ splash a bit -- no matter. The whole floor will be wet soon enough. She pulls a dripping scrub brush out of the bucket and begins at the end nearest the male dorms.

"What do you think, Shanel?" Shifting to his knees, then to his feet, Caelum skips cheerily over to Shanel's side, draping over the back of her chair and staring over at Neliar and Iyanden. "I think Neliar's got a point about her being old 'nuf, but I dunno." What's he after? Mid-morning torture, of course. "You're her friend - who does she like?" Linora is eyed as she begins scrubbing, the youngest in the room toying with the idea of tramping messily across the floor.

Neliar has a good idea who Nel thinks is annoying after the other nights escapades involving a tomato plant leaf and sore ribs! "Hey Lin you need a hand." he calls hoping she'll say no, but it's nice to offer. He rolls his eyes at Caelums attempts at getting info out of Nel.

Shanel blinks as Lin comes back in with a bucket. A grin full of mischief slowly forms across her lips. Distracted as the young boy appears at her side, blink. "I have no idea who she likes. Maybe she's like the greenriders and 'likes' girls." Why would she know? Nel makes a face at Cael, and turns to Lin, "You could just dump the bucket and use bed sheets like last time." Shanel giggles at the memory.

Iyanden finishes his learning and stows the scrolls, looking over at Linora. "He need som help?" He stands up and places his work carefully nearby. His eyes scanning Linora for a response. "I would rather work then debate about Laurel, fancying girls, its too horrible to think about."

Linora looks up from where she's kneeling on the floor, now surrounded by a large puddle of soapy water, her face twisted in a rueful grimace. "You prolly wouldn't offer ifya knew why I had t'do it," she admits, glancing at the door to the male dorms with an almost guilty expression before she starts scrubbing again. Scrubscrub. Scrub. Blink, she looks up at Shanel. "Who likes girls?" She's a little skittish about greenriders in general. "And no thanks. That thing with the bedsheets took forever." As if this wouldn't.

Caelum messes up the hair Shanel's been trying to braid earlier, running his fingers through it and ruffling it with cheerful impunity as he runs off to the other side of the room. Flopping down in a chair, he lifts an eyebrow at Iyanden. "Fancying girls is too horrible to think about?" He echoes the other males words with a half smirk, shifting so that he's stretched over the ends of the chair, arms and legs draped over it. Linora gets a sweet smile: "So why do you have to do it?"

Neliar looks over at the bucket plotting things he could do with it..... He grins over at Iyan's horrified expression, well it would solve a couple of problems, wouldn't it? A small light goes on in Neliar's head, "it was you how took our things! wasn't it." grinning at Lin, well have have to admire the guts it must have taken to do it!

Kiyna strides in from the Female Apprentice Quarters.

Kiyna
Before you stands a young woman who's almost done as her growing. She used to be tall honest.. At least compared to the others her age, but now they've all passed her height of 5'1 considerably. Widespaced sea green eyes are set into a slim freckled face that is devoid of all the reminance of baby fat. A long mane of curly dark red hair hangs well past her waist. Upon closer inspection it is plain that some strips of her hair have been dyed bright sky blue all around her head. Wisps are always dangling in her eyes and generally kept unrully by it's lack of tameness. Her body is whipcord thin but the muscles can be seen beneath the moderately tanned skin. The tinge of red sunburn and just a hint of windburn is a constant accesory to her face and arms a blatent announcement of her time outdoors.
Sleevless and cool is this white cotton shirt. It slips easily over her head having no buttons or fasteners. Dark brown trousers are wore to mid calf letting her find free and easy movement within them. Her small feet are covered in a tiny pair of shoes that have the non-skid type bottoms. All this so she need not worry of her footing while on board the ship. A small pendant hangs from a weyrhide cord around her neck. Upon closer inpection it is revealed to be a small engraved piece of metal. Old Worn Sack hangs heavily from Kiyna's shoulder. Perched on Kiyna's shoulder is Risa. Perched on Kiyna's head is Umi.
Kiyna proudly wears the knot of a Sr. StarCraft apprentice the double cord of one red and one silver, looped once with a small red tail and tassel, intertwined into the knot are ribbons of blue and white signifying her affiliations with the SeaCraft.

Iyanden chuckles. "No other girls fancying girls is." Iyanden smiles as the little fellow takes his seat before he can sit back down. Argh well, he peches on Shanels instead. He looks around at all the new people.

Shanel snickers at the boy's words. Forget the angelic act, Caelum knows exactly what he's doing and saying, he gets a glare for messing with her hair. "You were in on the prank?" Shanel is a bit shocked, Linora is so, nevermind.

Linora stops scrubbing again to /glare/ at Caelum. "I'm s'prised you don't hafta scrub," she remarks. But why would the journeymen have believed that the twins had helped carry their own stuff out to the koi pond? She looks quickly at Neliar. "Not /just/ me," she says, a little defensively. Maybe she's just the only one who got caught. Or maybe she's the only one responsible enough to actually /do/ the chores they all got punished with.

"Why's that so horrible to think about? Fewer for you? If you liked boys, then you'd have even more options!" Caelum teases, shifting so that he's facing Linora with a bright smile, leaving his words for Iyanden without a follow up. "Faranth, now why would I have to scrub?" His practiced angelic look slides easily in place, hazel eyes widening with a sweet smile just -barely- curving his lips.

Kiyna steps in from the Female Apprentice Quarters followed closely by her two large canine companions. The sight of scrubbing apprentices earns an arched brow as she finds herself someone, oh the floor, to flop down. Lin gets a grin "You know I'm glad I didn't have anything to do with that. Just innocent little ole me." smirk glancing at the new apprentice the one she hasn't met "Liking girls? Just what are you all talking about?"

Neliar giggles slightly at the thought of Lin doing anything bad, it just doesn't seem like the kinda thing she'd do! He perches himself on the edge of his seat so he can get a better view of Lin scrubbing. "yes, why would Caelum hafta scrub the floor?" he wonders, he couldn't have been in on it, could he? "morning." he greets again as yet another person comes in.

Mayala walks ever so softly in from the Female Apprentice Quarters.

Mayala
Her long brown hair hangs down her back, past her shoulders, in a long thing braid. However, a few small strands escape from the braid and curl around her face, and blonde streaks can be spotted in the right kind of light. Her icy blue eyes reflect the smile on her face, and make her seem friendly, but very strong in her will and thoughts. A small, straight nose sit centered on her face, and is speckled with freckles. Her tall, lean, athletic body is slighty tanned, although for what reason cannot be discerned. From what can be seen, she has no scars or recent cuts.
She is wearing a short, new light brown wherhide skirt that goes to mid thigh. A brown top that covers to just above the belly button and cuts low across the chest, revealing a little cleavage, is also being worn. She has on dark brown wherhide boots that go to just above the ankles. Perched on Mayala's left shoulder is Velorek. Perched on Mayala's right shoulder is Zhaan.
Mayala wears the knot of a StarCraft Senior Apprentice.

Iyanden stands up and looks about asking people in general but mostly to Shanel, the only one not having given him the evils. "Want to go for a walk, it a bit full in here." Iyanden wants to get outside, he doesn't like being the hold all day long.

Shanel blinks as yet more people come into the vault. She doesn't think she's ever seen so many people in here. "Hey Kiyna, Mayala." Glancing up at Iyanden, "No, thanks. If I leave I have to find Carise." Peering at Cael, if Tai was involved he may have helped. Regret can be seen flashing through her eyes, it was one prank she missed.

Neliar rools his eyes at Iyan's behaviour, is he going to hit on every girl in the craft? Or just the ones I happen to like! at least he hasn't hit on Lin yet, but give Iyan some more time. He looks up and grins at Mayala another person, this must be the fullest he's ever seen this room. "morning Mayala." he calls out cheerfully.

Linora flings a wet rag in Caelum's direction, bending over her scrubbing again and answering Neliar without looking up. "Ask /him/," she suggest. "Or his brother." She does look up at Kiyna as the other flops down on the floor. "You'll prolly end up wet ifya stay there," she informs her. Shells, it wasn't /that/ much fun, to make it worth all this work! And now back to scrubbing.

Mayala stretches and yawns as she exits the female dorms. She stops dead in her tracks as she see's how many people are in here. "Um...hi everyone," she says, making her way to a chair, "What are you all up to?" She gives a smile and a wave to Shanel then Kiyna then Neliar and Linora. This is very interesting.

Caelum actually goes so far as to bat his lashes at the assembled crowd, working on that whole 'innocent' bit. The new arrivals are greated with a tiny flutter of his fingers, his version of a wave. Iyanden's question - and Shanel's subsequent reply - earn a peal of laughter cut off as a wet rag smacks him in the face, dripping down his clothing. He stops. He turns. He stares. "Drop something?" The rag is held out between two fingers, Cael's voice just -dripping- with sugar-sweetness.

Kiyna glances around her then hops back up "Well shards there's people everywhere else. I do miss all the fun things I think and this one must have been great as you're doing a lot of work." her canines look totally put out about the whole wet floor and rags so out the door they go towards the outside and dirt.

Adoran jumps up on the nearest chair.

Iyanden turns as no-one wants a walk and he bumps into Mayala. "Oh sorry" he says stumbling a little. "I was just on my way for a walk." Iyanden stands up straight again and looks out the door.

Jenavia notices her master and runs to her. Mayala smiles at Navia and gives her a pat. "Good canine," she says softly as she smiles at everyone. She looks to the plants and sees they seem to be watered so there's really nothing for her to do here now. She grins at Iyanden as he bumps into her, "S'ok. You're goin' for a walk huh? Mind if I join?" Mala could use a break from this chaos in here and so could all her pets-the firelizards and the dog that is.

Iyanden smiles and slides past her out the door. "Sure, just getting some air really." With that Iyanden strolls away from the crowds and out the door.

Iyanden walks moves elegantly to the Main Hall Balcony.

Mayala walks ever so softly to the Main Hall Balcony.

Jenavia pads on, tail held high, to the Main Hall Balcony.

Shanel snickers as Cael gets a rag in the face. Laurel had told her all about the prank. "The boys cots all ended up in the koi pond and some of the pranksters got caught." To all in general, in case some hadn't heard the story yet.

Neliar yells, "bad dog" at Adoran trying to get him to get off the chair, but the mutt doesn't want to move. Neliar is quite content to stay where he is for the moment at least until it's time for classes. He laughs at Caelum's expression but makes a smaller target of himself when he notices Cael has a wet rag in his hand. He stares at the door long after Iyan leaves, having things to think about.

Sliding a smirking look at Iyanden, Caelum calls a suggestion: "Might want to get a walking stick if you have trouble like that." Now - back to the rag and it's thrower. He wiggles it, dirty drops of water dripping and splattering onto the furniture around him. Unfortunately his feet are bare, so he can't go messing up the floor by tramping on it. Shanel gets a snarky grin: "Some? Not everyone got caught? Whyever not?"

Linora grins broadly as Caelum takes a wet rag in the face. She hadn't expected such a satisfying hit! "Nope. Thought you could use it." Heee. She takes another rag and starts sopping up the water around her, then slides over to the next dirty area. And out comes the scrub brush again. She suddenly looks up with a sulky expression, first at Shanel, then at Caelum. "They only busted the folks that didn't look like they belonged there," she declares in a slightly injured tone. Oh, the misfortune of walking out of the male dorms into a vault full of people -- and two journeymen!!

Kiyna strides to the Main Hall Balcony.

Shanel wouldn't know why not. Shrugging, "I don't know, I wasn't there." She curls up on the couch, tucking her feet under her. One hand out for the canine to sniff. "You weren't the only one who got chore, were you, Lin?" Giggling, well of course the girls would be in trouble if a Jman was around.

Neliar brushes at the patch of dirty water than landed on him. "Caelum." he growls at him for getting his clean clothes dirty. with a big shove he manages to get his mutt off the chair. "what a charmer." he mutters to himself about Iyan glad that he's gone. HE throws Lin a sympathetic glance having often been caught playing pranks on people, thanks goodness Etain did not seem too surprised to be painted purple the other day! He looks over at Adoran who seems intent on sniffing Nel's hand. Oh well at least he's not making a mess of the furniture.

Caelum's eyes light up as he gets an idea as to just how he can use the rag. With a cheerful smile for Neliar - what'd he ever do? - he eyes his target. Legs tensing, he jumps over the back of the chair and runs by Linora, skittering over the wet floor. "You're right, I could!" he exclaims gleefully, wringing it out over her head and slip-sliding his way across the wet floor onto a dry part, where he then runs to hide behind Shanel, flashing Linora a bright smile. "Thanks!"

"Hey." Shanel gets hit with stray water droplets Caelum tries to hide behind her. "You could /help/ her you know." Geez, and don't her wet. Giving the dog a quick scratch, Nel turns to Cael, "I'm not protecting you if she wants revenge."

Diena jumps up a little bit, apparently from nodding off "Linora!" she says with a jump "I was.. um.. studying these scrolls. I didn't see you come in!" she says happily, seeming to be full of life so quickly.

Neliar looks on in open mouthed amazement at Cael's nerve as the youngster soaks Lin with dirty water, the little brat! He quickly takes off his tunic and hands it to Lin to help her dry herself. Trying not to giggle at the sight of water dripping down her now very soggy hair.

Adoran snuffles the hand scratching him before "woofing" in enjoyment. He moves his head slightly so the humanpet can scratch behind his ears.

Shanel obliges and scritches behind the canines ears, and down his back, and everywhere else Nel can reach.

Adoran loves being scritches. He rolls around the floor in apparent ecstasy.

Linora wails as she's abruptly soaked, both hands belatedly going up to cover her head. "That was a nasty trick," she snaps, pale eyes darting around the room to see where the little brat has gone. Then suddenly she's got something in her hands - something dry. She scrubs at her hair, getting to her feet and only then realizing it's a tunic, and that a half-naked Neliar is standing in front of her - not even blushing! But she is suddenly, handing the now-damp tunic back. "Thanks," she murmurs, forgetting to be angry. "I... um... I gotta go." She picks up the bucket and backs toward the door to the hallway, belatedly noticing Diena. "I'll... um... meet you later," she says to her friend, slipping out the door as fast as she can.
Linora walks softly to the Main Hall Balcony.

"She started it," Caelum all but -purrs- at Shanel, eyes half-closed as he grins brightly at Linora from his haven. He runs fast, anyway. Flashing a V with his first two fingers at Neliar - V for victory, after all - the youngest wiggles out from behind Shanel to run past Neliar and run a finger across his arm with a snicker. "Aren't you cold?" he asks, skipping backwards into his chair with a glance after Linora. He always thinks well after he does something: "Er, she's not mad, right?"

Neliar stares at Lin's back. "What's the matter with her?" he wonders out loud. With his back turned he did not notice what Caelum was up to behind his back and it's a good thing for Cael that he didn't. He jumps slightly as he feels a warm finger run across his arm. He looks down to his now rather wet tunic and decides to put it back on anyway. Spotting a rag as he buttons up his tunic he bends down to pick it up. "Caelum, where are you?"

Shanel shakes her head. "I don't think so." Shanel snickers at the, um, view. The day has just gotten so interesting. Standing she walks over and picks up the bucket of dirty water. Returning from the balancy she leans on the door frame, arms cross her chest. She's enjoying the little show the boys are putting on.

Caelum snickers at Neliar's reaction and subsequent words, hunching down rather far in his chair with only a taunting, "Nyah," called in the other apprentices direction. He wiggles down onto the floor and creeps to settle with his back to the side of another chair, looking around for a rag himself.

Diena looks after her friends swift departure "Was it something I said?" she asks with a frown as Dart continues staring at the door. She shrugs and manages to sit up "I suppose I did nod off. She has been at alot of work lately... work that, perhaps, I should have been doing" she says admitedly.

Neliar spots Cael as he is disappearing under a chair, "now he's using my escape route!" he mutters. "Cael I'm coming to get you." he taunts the youngster. Neliar hopes over a chair with surprise grace for someone his size. "where are you" he calls. He looks in Diena's direction and loses sight of the little brat.

Slipping underneath a table, for once glad of his lack of stature, Caelum pops up next to Neliar with an over-bright smile, making a grab for the rag. "Looking for me?" Tone taunting, he dances out of range even as he makes another try to snatch the cloth from the other boy's hands.

Shanel uncrosses her arms and walks over to a seat near Diena, avoiding flying and crawling boys. "I don't think it had anything to do with you, hon." A glance at the now, fully clothed Neliar shows who or what may have made Linora leave.

Neliar yanks the rag out of the boys reach having more than several inches on his height. "you'll have to be quicker than that." he says with a big grin, he has not had this much fun, well of at least a couple of nights! "sorry girls." he says as water flies in their direction. Neliar turns quickly trying to figure out where the little imp has gone now.

Diena chuckles at the younger boy "Oh, I see someone is full of energy today" she says with grin. "Well, I'm glad" she tells Shanel "Because she and I have alot of work to do together. You may wish to join us too. It may seema little boring at first, but it's definately going to be exciting."

"Mmph," Caelum says with a pout, slipping behind a couch and circling the perimeter of the room in search of an angel to attack Neliar from. He comes up at Diena's elbow with a beam, turning his smile on the girls: "Could you possibly distract him for a moment, m'ladies? I would be much obliged." His tone is just brimming with respect and admiration, eyes wide and oh-so-sweet as he tries to get them to help him out here.

Shanel walks to the Main Hall Balcony.

Neliar doesn't see the little brat but he can hear him, turning quickly, a little too quickly Neliar slips and manages to fall onto the wet and still rather dirty floor. "Shards." he mutters to himself hoping no one else hear him curse.

Oh, why not. Diena thinks, realizing her day hasn't held far too much excitement yet. Going along with the mischevious boys wish, she turns her attentionto Neliar "So tell me, Neliar, about this Laurel. I don't think I've met her yet" she beams a charming smile "Are you two.. close?"

Neliar looks up at Diena from his place on the floor, he gives her one of his more strained smiles. "She joined the craft around the same time as me." Now if you'll excuse me I have to go and get into something dry. Ringing out his tunic to enforce the point.
