Squabble between Seilyn and Cael

Neliar - Sunday, September 02, 2001, 5:13 PM
--------------------------------------------

Neliar walks in and flops in the favy chair, a hand is waved at the occupants of the room.

Seilyn tosses the closest object she can grab hold of -- luckily being a pillow -- towards Caelum. "If you know what was good for you, you wouldn't call me Seilyn," she comments and turns back to her book. Quickly she finds her smile and grins. "I'm fine, Caelum, dear. How are you?" You can practically taste the over-enthusiasm in her voice. Cackle.

"Seilyn, Seilyn, Seilyn," Cael chants in a sing-song voice, dropping his book to the side in favor of catching the incoming pillow - and whipping it at Neliar in greeting. "Hi!" Back to the girl: "Just lovely!" Taste the sugar in his voice. "It had been such a nice, peaceful morning. -Had-." Beam. His head cants to the side as he carefully picks the book up and sets it on a low table to the side, giving up on even trying to understand it with the distraction.

Neliar catches the pillow that is thrown in his direction. What has he walked into? "what are you two up to?" he enquires trying to keep the smirk out of his voice.

Seilyn debates storming over to smack Caelum repeatedly with her book, lifting it to glare over the top of it at the Apprentice. "Nothing," she snaps at Neliar and looks back down to her book. Regaining her cool composure, Seilyn smiles wryly. Seily has another prank up her sleeve... probably.

Neliar looks rather surpised as Seilyn snaps at him, that's not like her she's normally a bubbly person. he frowns over in Cal's direction wonder just what teh little scamp has been saying.

Caelum blinks at Seilyn for snapping, the glare rolling off him like water off a duck. "What?" He's all innocence - he hasn't said a thing, for once, and he even flashes one of his brighter smiles at the other two. Why's it always him? "I was just studying and stuff, y'know," he finishes, waving vaguely and keeping an eye on Seilyn when she starts to look a bit supicious.

Terran walks in from the Male Apprentice Quarters.

Seilyn growls at Caelum and hides behind her book. She /was/ bubbly but it's all /Caelum/'s fault she's grumpy now.. but within a few moments of her reading there's content happiness pooling in her grey eyes and her expression has incredibly turned from vicious venomous beast to angel once more... maybe venomous angel is more like it. She glances up at lights up. "Terr!" Waggle!

Terran blinks as his name is called. He was sleeping very nicely until he remembered having a class. "Hi, Seil." Looking around at the rest of the room, "Cael, we have a class." and last but not least, "Hi." To the girl he doesn't know.

Neliar shuffles himself further back into his seat now that Seilyn seems to have settled down. The two newcomers get a smile and a wave. He hopes Sage doesn't have any more questions after the pond incident.

Happily fleeing Seilyn and her growls - not to mention random angelic smiles - Caelum inches from his seat and practically flies to his twin's side with a backwards smile over his shoulder at Seilyn. "See you later, Seeeeeeeilyn," he drawls, tugging on Terran's hand with a smirk. "I forgot about the class," he breezes, undoubtedly not suprising to anyone at all, as he drags his twin out the door.

Sage walks in from the female quarters, a yawn escaping her as she stops to stretch. Bright eyes glance around the room, and she sighs. She recoginizes Neliar, but doesn't really know anyone else. Oh well, she'll make friends, huh? She walks toward the group slowly, then hesitates near them with a shy smile- Sage? Shy? Well, for the moment, yes. At Terran's hi, she nods and then also dips her head to Neliar with a little wave, "Hey guys..." is directed to everyone. Neliar shouldn't get his hopes up, really. Sage will never stop bugging him about that.

Peace and quite descends in the Vault. Neliar sighs as the terrible twins leave the room. Now he might be able to get some studying done.

Studying? I think not! And so does Sage. The shyness leaves her as those she doesn't know leave the room, and she bounds over to Neliar with a more personally directed, "Hi Neliar..." She grins and plops next to him, asking loudly, "Whatcha doing?"

A small sigh escapes Neliar as Sage plonks herself down beside him. "Hi Sage, I was reading about Charting." Interesting stuff, huh! Resigned to not getting much more done for now.

Sage visibly pouts at his sigh and crosses her arms grumpily, staring straight ahead. "Well go right ahead. I didn't mean to bother you." Sighing like she's some annoyance! Hmph! Well she's not- er...not always one! *;0*

Neliar realises that he's been somewhat rube although he didn't ask to be disturbed. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to upset you." he says rather awkwardly. Trying to change the subject. "How are your classes going? do you need help with anything?" Hoping to calmher down somewhat.

Sage stands suddenly and walks around and away from Neliar a bit. "Good. And no." Hey, she's a weird gal- can be annoying, can be sweet, can be fun, can be rude, can be smart, can be a ditz...and certainly can be moody. Which she is now. Waggle-waggle she goes and drops to pick a fallen mark, triumphant smile on her face. "Alright!"

Neliar face has confusion written all over it, he's never been able to figure women out, all he knows is that he never will. His eyes track Sage as she walks off and snags a mark from the floor. "Alright what?" he asks not knowing quite what she means.

"I found half a mark!" Sage beams again, then frowns. Why's he talking to her when he needs to study? "Aren't you spose to be studying?" Yes, she /is/ trying to distract him on purpose, but no, he's not spose to know that.

Neliar grins and puts down his book. "i wasn't really that interested anyway." he pretends he's not at all bothered by the fact she disturbing him. "lucky you." he refers to her finding the half mark. He reaches over to see if the pot of klah is still warm, since it is he pours himself a cup. "would you like some?"

If he's bothered by her "disturbing" him, he should leave. Yep. Not pretend he's not. Sage eyes him suspiciously, "I don't believe you, and no...Klah's really gross." She taunts a bit, "And it makes your breath stinky."

Neliar grins at Sage, she's a little imp alright! "There's only you here to have to suffer it." he grins. "there's some juice here if you'd prefer?" he really is trying to be nice. Give the guy a break.

An imp she is, and an imp she stays. She's not anything else really. That's why she's always acting different. She laughs, "Oh gee, thanks." Okay, it was a genuine laugh that time. She raises a brow, shoving the mark into tight-pantpocket, and then leans to peer near where he's talking about, "What kind?" Of juice, you see.

Neliar looks at the choices, hmming to himself. "Well there's redfruit or greenfruit or pear juice." She if doesn't like any of them than she'll just have to do with out. He actually rather glad of the company even if she almost as bad as having Cal around.

Sniff? She's bad to have around? Okay, she'll be nicer. Not because of that, but because she wants /him/ to serve her. "Ooo! I like redfruit juice! Can I have some of that?" She bounds back again, and sits next to him, with her leg folded under her. Yep, she likes redfruit juice /now/, but don't be surprised if she's drank it too much and hates it by tomorrow. The only consistency with her is that she's an imp, and she doesn't like klah or meat. Yep, that's it. Oh, and I guess you can consistently expect her to hate/like something new quite often.

Neliar grins at Sage, she's really /not/ that bad, she just takes a bit of getting used to. He fishes out the redfruit juice and pours her a glass handing it to her. "there you go." he decides to have a glass to as it looks so refreshing.
